“How wonderful the world would be..."

The most miraculous embodiment of life can happen in a kiss, a hug, a step, a reach, a hold, or release. In the simplest and most powerful movement of all, we open our eyes every morning and in a single instant, life fills our minds and spirit, calling us to rise.

A few days ago I wrote a very short thing about life. Here it is:

“How wonderful the world would be...

If we could hear Life's daily singing plea”

Outside of circumstances and forces that act upon us regardless of our choosing, Life is a continuous opportunity for “choice.”

Our experience of life is a river of choices and their consequences leading to new choices. Life “invites” us to choose, to explore, change, or not. In our sublime complexity as living beings, we can experience thoughts, emotions, sensations, memories, and dreams.

With Movement, all life can be reflected in a single gesture or an infinite flow of dynamic choices expressed through our bodies. In this way, Movement becomes more than locomotion; it becomes an artistic, philosophical, or spiritual conversation within ourselves or with the world. In that sense, how we move can design the outcome of our interactions with everything surrounding us and it is informed by our intent.

From the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep, life happens almost like music, in jumps and leaps, pauses and rushes, rhythm and dissonance. This constant pace of change demands our participation and our choice of intent can mean the difference between noise and song.

When we move with full intent, with full body awareness, we engage life fully, we hear its “song” calling us to join in, to be it, to create it.

What could all the wealth in the world make us feel, that a single dance of breath and mind cannot so sublimely grant in the blink of an eye?

The most miraculous embodiment of life can happen in a kiss, a hug, a step, a reach, a hold, or release. In the simplest and most powerful movement of all, we open our eyes every morning and in a single instant, life fills our minds and spirit, calling us to rise.
